Common questions

Honest answers, not marketing.

How does receipt scanning actually work?

You take a photo, BiteSpend uses Gemini 2.5 Flash to extract every line item, vendor, date, and total. Usually finishes in under five seconds.

Why don't you connect to my bank?

Bank statements stop at the total. "$87 at Costco" tells you nothing about what you bought. Receipts are item-level ground truth, and that's the whole point.

Is my data private?

Yes. We don't sell or share your purchase data. You can export or delete everything at any time.

How much does it cost?

Free to start. Upgrade to Pro for unlimited scans and deeper insights, including the full history view, cross-store price alerts, CSV export, and a shopping list workflow. A Family plan with shared household budgets is on the way.
